We finished the third season a few days ago and were very disappointed
I would give the first and second seasons a 9 out of 10, but the third season only a 4 out of 10. The river storyline dominated the entire season, which some people applauded, but that makes it unwatchable for others. In every episode, there are several scenes where they just discuss cancer, and in some episodes you don’t even see Superman, or if you do, it’s fleeting.
What a difference!
We still watched it and were glad when Lex Luthor showed up at the end of the series and it was more like Superman again. We finished the third season and went right back to the beginning of the first season. The first season is so beautiful; the action is excellent, the effects are excellent and the acting is excellent.
It’s like a completely different show
We really hope that the old Superman and Lois will return in the fourth season. As a family that has gone through cancer (like most others), the third season just didn’t feel like Superman. At times it was very depressing and not the escape from the “real world” that we need after a hard day at the office.
