A unique profile of British pop superstar Robbie Williams. It took a year and a half to get permission to shoot the lavish dance sequence on London’s Regent Street because the British royal family owns it. Two nights before the scheduled shoot, after a week of rehearsals, Queen Elizabeth II died and filming had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid anyway, including the shop owners and crew, and the production’s insurance didn’t cover losses due to the death of a monarch. The producers had to raise additional funds to shoot the sequence, which was filmed five months later. The main character, Robbie Williams, is depicted as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not actually a chimpanzee.
