Narrative
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a TV documentary journalist whose work relies on uncovering the transgressions of long-respected institutions. The Ravenscroft household’s talented Russian blue cat improvised all of her actions and dialogue. In multiple episodes, Jonathon uses the same lens throughout the series, a medium telephoto.
I had to give up halfway through episode 3
Such a lens would not be able to focus on close-up subjects like selfies with Sasha or in the bedroom with Catherine.. This is one of the worst shows I have ever seen, not even Cate Blanchett could save it. This is coming from someone who read the book in anticipation of this series.
And that annoying transition!
I have to say, I found the book itself to be average. I can’t believe how many things went wrong. I mean, what about the sound quality and that horribly unnecessary narration?
The whole show is very boring
Everything seems so out of place in this mess of a play. The ratings must be fake, there is no way this is a 7 star series. The dialogues of the young actors are just creepy.
One star for the cat
We already know from the beginning what happened contrary to the book, if I remember correctly, so with the disappearance of the mystery we were left with nothing. Too bad I was actually looking forward to it.
